Définition

The resident occupied population has its residence on the national territory but may have a job either within or outside of the national territory. This notion refers to the notion of employment in the place of residence used for the national accounts. This notion contrasts with that of domestic employment which includes all natural persons working within the French territory, without necessarily residing there, irrespective of their status (employee, self-employed, home help, etc.).

Generally speaking : Resident occupied population = Sum of jobs at the place of work in the various regions + jobs outside of the territory- jobs in France of persons living abroad.
