Définition

The French National supervisory body on crime and punishment (ONDRP) is a French organisation responsible for collecting and analysing statistical information, and producing accounts of developments and trends in crimes and misdemeanours. Its strategic independence is guaranteed by a guiding council which selects and specifies study and research objectives in the OND's areas of interest.

Since January 1st, 2010, the ONDRP is also in charge of centralizing the data on the pronouncement, the execution and the application of the measures and penals sanctions.

Remarque

The OND is a department of the National Institute for Advanced Security Studies (INHES), a national public institution with administrative functions.
