Définition

Proved reserves are the quantities of hydrocarbons and coal which, according to the available technical and geological information, are highly likely (> 90%) to be recovered in the future from known deposits and under the existing technical and economic conditions. This estimate is therefore constantly re-assessed according to new finds, the evolution of prices and to the improvement of recovery from the existing fields.
