Implementing the SILC 2025 ad hoc module on Energy and environment

This project contributes to one objective defined in the SMP-ESS-2024-EU-SILC-IBA call document: supporting NSIs to implement new/ amended variables in the EU-SILC data collection. The project encompasses the design, qualitative focus group testing, questionnaire development, and collection of the ad hoc module on Energy and Environment, which will be collected for the first time in 2025 in the SILC survey. The project is planned for a duration of 29 months and will enable:
- Testing the questionnaire through focus group qualitative testing
- IT development of the questionnaire with data collection tools, drawing conclusions from the focus group testing
- Collecting 2025 SILC data, including the ad hoc module on Energy and Environment
- Making the 2025 SILC datasets with variables from the ad hoc module available to users after data processing
The final project report will be useful for designing other questionnaires on topics similar to those covered in the Energy and Environment 2025 SILC module .
