29 November 2024 · n° 298In November 2024, consumer prices increased by 1.3% year on year Consumer price index - provisional results - November 2024
These provisional results are only preliminary data. Accordingly, they should not be used for contractual revaluations. The indices published here are based on a limited set of price observations and from estimates of some rates of change for fares which are not yet available. The complete results will be published on 13 December 2024.
Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should rise by 1.3% in November 2024, after +1.2% in October, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. This near stability in inflation should result from a slowdown in prices of food offset by an acceleration in prices of services and a less marked fall in prices of energy compared with October. Over a year, the prices of manufactured products and tobacco should move at similar rates to the previous month.
Over one month, consumer prices should decrease by 0.1% in November 2024 (after +0.3% in October). This slight decrease should be explained by that in prices of services, mainly those of transport. The prices of food and manufactured products should be stable compared to October and those of energy and tobacco should rise slightly in November.
Year on year, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices should rise by 1.7% in November 2024, after 1.6% in October. Over one month, it should fall by 0.1%, after +0.3% in the previous month.
