House prices increased once again in Q2 2021
In Q2 2021, the house prices in metropolitan France continued to rise: +1.4% compared to the previous quarter with seasonnally adjusted (s.a.) data, after +1.3% in the previous quarter. In detail, second-hand dwellings prices accelerated slightly (+1.5% after +1.2% in the previous quarter); new dwellings prices slowed down (+1.0% after +1.7% in the previous quarter).
Year on year, house prices kept rising (+5.7% after +5.6% in the previous quarter). Second-hand dwellings prices grew faster (+5.9% y-o-y) than new dwellings prices (+4.9%).

Revisions
The Q1 2021 indices were revised to include observations recorded after the previous publication. The year-on-year variation in new dwellings prices in Q1 2021 was revised upwards by 0.2 points compared to the previous publication (+3.5% instead of +3.3%). The variation in second-hand dwellings prices was also revised upwards (+6.0% instead of +5.9%). All in all, housing prices year-on-year variation in Q1 2021 was revised upwards by 0.1 points (+5.6% instead of +5.5%).
