In February 2014, manufacturing output increased by 0.3%, continuing on the upward trend begun in October 2013. Output was almost stable in industrial production as a whole (+0.1%, after –0.3% in January 2014).

During the last three months, manufacturing output improved (+0.8%)…
During the last three months (q-o-q), output improved in the manufacturing sector (+0.8%), and was almost stable in industry as a whole (+0.1%).
Output rose in other manufacturing (+1.2%), in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+1.6%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+3.4%). On the other hand, output declined in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–0.8%) as well as in the manufacture of transport equipment (–0.6%).
… and was higher than its last year’s level by 1.1%.
Manufacturing output went up by 1.1% (y-o-y).
Output soared in the manufacture of transport equipment (+7.0%) and improved in a less sustained pace in other manufacturing (+0.7%) and in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+1.0%). On the opposite, output dropped in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–6.7%) and slipped in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–0.8%).

In February 2014, output improved in other manufacturing (+0.3%)…
Output went up in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment products (+1.5%), in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (+1.1%) as well as in the manufacture of wood and paper products; printing and reproduction (+0.5%). On the opposite, output declined significantly in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (–2.4%) and, to a lesser extent, in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (–0.4%) and in other manufacturing; repair and installation of machinery and equipment (–0.2%).
… and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+0.8%).
Output improved moderately in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (+1.6%) and very slightly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+0.2%).
Output increased slightly in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.2%)…
Output increased substantially in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (+1.9%) whereas it shrank in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (–0.4%) and in the manufacture of electrical equipment (–0.3%).
… and in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.2%).
Output grew by 0.2% in the manufacture of food products and beverages.
